Graphic novel

Anew genre for the 2012 Summer! What's your recommended graphic novel?

Seeing as I suggested graphic novels be added to the list... here are my recommendations:
Maus by Art Spigelman (the god-father of graphic novels) writes about his parents' experiences as holocaust survivors. The unique illustration in this book is that the Jews are depicted as mice and the Germans as cats.
Blankets by Craig Thompson - autobiographical coming of age story of growing up with a strict religious family - beautiful images. Currently reading his newest book Habibi – not so good…
Fun Home Road & Are You My Mother by Alison Bechdel - both autobiographical about her relationship with her parents - Fun Home Road is my preferred read as Are You My Mother is mostly psychoanalytical
I have some of these books and am happy to loan them! Kelly
