    1000 Photographs

This collection is actually called "The Geography Collection" because the photos were copied from glass negatives through a special project done in the 1970s by the Geography Department at Memorial University. There are 1109 black and white photographs. These photographs depict views of Newfoundland and Labrador houses, churches, public buildings, ships, railways, communities, and special events. The creation of these photographs was primarily the work of three prominent photographers: Robert Holloway, S.H. Parsons and James Vey.
